Works well if there is little or no background noise, but once you’re in a noisy environment, the microphones struggle, and the sounds recorded becomes very scratchy. Provided you avoid these circumstances, the kit is pretty good for the money and ease of use.

The noise cancellation makes my voice really stand out but can be noticed if it’s very windy like with all mikes. I’d have given 5-stars only I needed to contact the sales team as I couldn’t get it to work with my Samsung S21 at first. They were helpful and told me how to enable USB debugging on my handset. Now, everything works just great. I'd recommend this if you're looking for a vlogging mic.

I ordered the new SmartMic Ultra model. As advertised, it’s very easy to use and connected immediately to my iPhone 12 Pro. You may need to experiment with the mic placement to avoid distortion depending how loud your speaking voice is. The noise cancellation is brutal and cancels out pretty much everything apart from your voice which for outdoor vlog videos is great but if you’re looking to record something other than your voice, this isn’t the best choice in my opinion.

Had issues connecting to my RealMe X55G at first, didn’t know how to turn on the USB settings to make it work. Contacted Tech Magnet and they sorted it out for me. The SmartMic Ultra Duo now works ok.

If you’re looking for a plug-and-play mic for social media videos and live streams to record your voice that’s simple to use, you can’t go wrong with this. Be aware that the noise cancellation does filter out almost all the bass or low end which would be an issue if you were looking to record music. But, for voices, it doesn’t get much easier if you’re using a smartphone, tablet, or camera than this microphone system.

Really happy with this product. Definitely has the LAM chip fitted as stated on the website. The sound quality is good with no delay. Very easy to use and has lightning, USB-C, and a 3.5mm jack making connecting it to all my devices a breeze. It also ships with a USB-C to USB adapter giving even more connectivity. Just tried the Smart Mic Pro system on this deck filming from a distance with an iPhone 11. Was incredibly easy to use and the audio quality was amazing even at this distance. Highly recommend this product.

I love this mic. I used to have to run the wire on my wireless lavalier system down inside my shirt and around inside my trousers to the belt pack - not a good look if I have just decided to do a video and the subject is waiting. Now I just clip the mic to my shirt and we're off. Make sure to note there is a reset button on the mic and the receiver if you ever need to reset the connection. Customer service were great in helping me get this sorted. Battery lasts for ages. Sound quality is reliable and excellent.

Be aware if you have an Android phone you need to turn on OTG and enable an add-on mic in settings to get the phone to recognize the receiver. I contacted support who were very helpful and helped me do this. Once sorted it paired instantly and sounds good.
